Runnin Free Update

Gratitude and Thanks

As we step into a new season, we are filled with deep gratitude for the sacred privilege of doing what we’ve been called to do: offer trauma-informed, equine-assisted services—through both learning and counseling—at no to low cost. At the heart of Runnin Free Ranch is a simple but profound belief: everyone deserves access to healing, and finances should never be a barrier to receiving the mental health care they need.

What makes Runnin Free Ranch unique?
Two things stand out:

  1. Our partnership with horses—who serve not just as helpers but as healers in the journey of restoration.
  2. Our commitment to financial accessibility—making sure services are available to all, regardless of ability to pay.

Because of this, fundraising is vital to our mission. And yet, time and again, we’ve seen God provide. We’ve grown in walking by faith, day by day—and YOU have been a tangible part of His provision. Thank you for standing with us, giving, praying, and believing. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

We’re also incredibly thankful for the opportunity to offer our recent Understanding Trauma and Healing Through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy Workshop. What an amazing day it was! We welcomed a beautiful group of people eager to learn how horses can be powerful partners in healing trauma. Thank you to all who joined us—it was a meaningful, hope-filled time of learning, connection, and insight.

Off the Hoof – From Sevin’s Perspective

“I am Sevin. I’m real, and I notice when someone is being their true, vulnerable self. In the round pen, I stood with a precious young girl. She would come close to me, then back away. I didn’t quite understand what she wanted, so I kept my distance. Then Amy, the counselor, and Remi, the equine specialist, helped her check in with herself. Something shifted. Her body relaxed. I sensed her spirit coming into alignment with her true self—and that’s when I chose to walk to her. It took her a moment to notice me, but when she did, tears came. She began to realize: she matters. She is seen. She is worth attention. That kind of authenticity draws me in.”

This is why we do what we do at Runnin Free Ranch

Upcoming Events

We have some exciting events coming up, and we would love for you to be part of them!

Seen Through Horses: A National Campaign for Healing that Runnin Free Ranch is proudly participating in.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are honored to be part of the Seen Through Horses Campaign—a powerful national movement that shines a light on the role horses can play in mental health and emotional healing.

Seen Through Horses is more than a campaign—it’s a collective voice. A way for equine-assisted programs across the country to say, with one heart:

Mental health matters. Horses help. Access is essential.

As a participating organization, Runnin Free Ranch is rallying support through awareness and fundraising efforts from May 1 through May 31. Together with ministries, therapists, ranches, and advocates nationwide, we’re telling the world what we’ve seen with our own eyes:
Horses reach places that words can’t.
They respond to what’s happening inside.
They offer real relationship presence.
And they help people—especially those who’ve experienced trauma—feel seen, safe, and valued.

Your involvement in this campaign helps us:

  • Provide low- and no-cost equine-assisted counseling to individuals and families
  • Sustain and grow our herd of therapy horses
  • Train and equip our team to serve with excellence
  • Keep mental health services accessible for underserved communities

When you give during the Seen Through Horses Campaign, you’re not just donating—you’re amplifying a national conversation about mental health, trauma, and hope. And you’re helping us make sure no one has to walk their healing journey alone.

🧡 Join us before May 31 to give, share, and stand with those who are healing—seen through horses.
